We started working with REVLON in 2006 and the Limited Edition Collection (LEC) was the third project briefed to us by Marc Tingwell and Tammy Herbert. Marc wanted to create a flowing display based on a beautiful lighting concept he had seen from Alex Noble Creations. The LEC range was targeting a younger demographic (18-35yrs) and the aimed to energise the Revlon brand via the ‘funky’ new range.
The result was an acrylic and polypropylene construction with integrated magnets holding the product holders in place and allowing flexibility in planogramming. The displays were placed into MYER and David Jones stores across Australia for 12 months.
We created a counter unit and a freestanding unit with a centre fluorescent light running full height – both units were spinners which challenged the design team on how to spin around a light tube! The acrylic work came from China and the printing and timber spinner bases were produced in Australia. 5P’s assembly teams then assembled, packed and delivered the units into Revlon’s main warehouse in the ACT.
